Important Change in Mail Order Provider

Dear Member:

FirstCarolinaCare Insurance Company (FCC) is changing our mail order prescription service from Walgreens Mail Service to BioScrip Pharmacy Services effective January 1, 2010.  Your benefits will remain the same. With Bioscrip, you will still be able to order your 90-day supply of covered maintenance prescription medications by telephone, on-line, or by mail and have them delivered directly to your home or work.   

Please note, for prescriptions filled after December 31st 2009, you will need to complete the following 2 steps:

1) Create an account by:

• calling Bioscrip customer service at 1-800-677-4323 or
• going online at www.scrippharmacy.com or
• completing the enclosed mail order form

2) Obtain a new prescription from your provider.

• Your provider can fax the prescription to 1-800-205-7408 or
• You can mail the original prescription in the enclosed mail order form.
