Ken Lewis, President, FirstCarolinaCare at State Health Plans MeetingDuring the recent annual meeting in Charlotte of the N.C. Association of Health Plans, Ken Lewis, executive director of FirstCarolinaCare Inc. (second left), participated in “The Great Debate” along with Andy Webber, president and CEO of the National Business Coalition (left), and Mark SantaCroce, president of Cigna of the Carolinas (second right).

John Paul Galles (right), publisher of Greater Charlotte Biz, moderated the debate and asked each panelist about what his company is doing to help keep people healthy. In response, Lewis discussed FirstCarolinaCare’s unique on-site employee screenings and chronic condition management program.

The NCAHP meeting also included a reception honoring Lewis as the organization’s outgoing chairman. Earlier in the same week, he had presented information about FirstCarolinaCare’s new FirstPlan product for lower-wage workers at the request of Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville.
